We are all made of energy. Each atom is comprised of only 1% solid matter- the remaining 99% is empty space. What holds it all together? Energy. Every being has an energetic field called an aura that motivates the physical body. Our energy to create, to change, to maintain life. The aura is made of many layers, with the lowest layers corresponding to the physical body. Effecting a change of energy within the aura and body chakras can result in dynamic transformation within the physical body of an individual.
Chakras are focal points of energy, like spinning wheels, located in the physical body that run from the base of the spine (1st or base chakra) to the top of the head (7th or crown chakra). The location of these chakras parallel the body's neuroendocrine and immune system pathways; they form links between our current thoughts and beliefs with the health of our physical tissues and organs.
For example, the 4th or heart chakra is located in the center of the chest; the heart chakra governs our ability to give and receive love. A blocked heart chakra may result in difficulty in forgiving others or withholding of affection to others; physical symptoms could include breathing difficulties, poor circulation, and cardiac irregularities. The 5th or throat chakra controls communication and self expression. A blocked throat chakra may manifest with an inability to speak out or with incessant chatter; physical symptoms could include sore throats, hoarseness, and thyroid disorders. Click here for a complete chart of chakras with their corresponding physical and emotional centers.
Crystals are powerful receptacles for earth energy- they are created by the immense geophysical pressure deep within the earth's core when the earth's crust is put under enormous stress. Crystals have been used by Eastern healers for thousands of years. Their subtle powers aid in the relief of physical ailments and are effective tools for cleansing and rejuvenation of the chakras. See the crystal guide for a compendium guide to crystals. Stay tuned for our upcoming selection of hand selected crystals from South America.
Carl Jung, the father of analytical psychology, was convinced that life had a spiritual purpose beyond the material- to discover and fulfill our innate potential. This journey of transformation where each person becomes his/her true self was called individuation. Meditation and dream analysis are widely used as tools for personal transformation and healing.
